CRHA Hall of Fame

Fraser and Ruth Hurdman lived in Ottawa.  Fraser had a heavy construction business but he and Ruth managed to find time to show some great horses.  Ruth rode Saddlebreds, and they both showed Hackney Horses in the 1950’s and early 60’s, Fraser showed a beautiful mare named “Fashion Lady”.  She won the Stake Class at the Royal in 1958 and again in 1961.  In 1963 Fraser showed a horse called Miss Giant Killer and in 1964 he added another horse called Jet Action.  Ruth and Fraser were excellent exhibitors who showed their horses and equipment in immaculate condition.  They always showed single horses in both Hackneys and Roadsters.  1964 was the last year Fraser showed Road Horses.
