Congratulations
to John Sheridan on becoming the first inductee to the Canadian Road Horse
Hall of Fame. John was a founding member of this Association and exhibited
many great horses over his showing career. Some of these included Page Boy,
True Lee, Top Flight, and The Golden Riddel. Assisting John throughout the
years was his wife, Phyllis, and, as John indicated at his induction
ceremony at the 2002 Royal -- "behind every great man is a great woman."
The Sheridans retired from
showing in 1996, but their latest honour came in September of 2009,
when they were inducted in the American Road Horse and Pony
Association Hall of Fame during a ceremony in Louisville, Kentucky.
An article on John & Phyllis was in the
Belleville Intelligencer.
