As another successful show season winds down, we can look forward to the upcoming Royal
Winter Fair. Class entries look very good, and there are a number of green horses showing. We
thank all of our valued class sponsors for their continued generosity and support of our road horse classes. Once again, we are the only harness division with classes which are fully sponsored!
We are pleased to be honouring the late Matt and Myrtle MacDougall as this year's CRHA Hall of
Fame inductees. As long-time exhibitors, a great number of champion horses and ponies passed through their stable. Please join us on Saturday, November 5 as we share and celebrate their achievements with their family. This year's fundraiser is again the beef/pork meat draw with a cash option. Please see any director to buy your tickets if you haven't already done so. All funds raised by
the CRHA allow us to promote the road horse and sponsor classes at many shows such as
Ormstown, the Royal, CNE, and Ontario show as well as the many junior exhibitor classes…so
please show your support. Unfortunately, we have "retired" our BBQ pork dinner which was enjoyed
by many over the past few years, but stay tuned for "something old, something new" at next year's
Royal! Good luck to all of our members who are competing at the Royal … and if you're not, come
out and cheer on those who are! DRIVE ON!!!
